What Artmire stores about you, what other people can see, and what we never hold at all.
This is a plain-language summary of what your account holds. The Privacy Policy is the formal document and takes precedence over anything said here.
Only two things about you are public: your name and your profile picture. They appear where you deal with people — to a seller you message, and beside any review you write.
Everything else is private. Sellers do not see your email address, your other purchases, or your favourites; the count beside an item's heart is a number with no names behind it. A seller you buy from is given the delivery address for that order, because a parcel has to be addressed.
Your card details. Payment runs through Stripe in Stripe's own form — the number never reaches Artmire, and nobody here can see it, ask for it, or read it back to you.
That is worth remembering as a test: anyone claiming to be from Artmire and asking about your card is not.
Conversations are kept and cannot be deleted, by you or by the other person. They are the record of what was agreed about a purchase, which is what makes them useful if a sale is ever disputed — and it means writing something here is not the same as saying it out loud.
Some records belong to a transaction rather than to one person, and cannot simply be erased on request:
Most of it is on the pages you already use: your details on the account page, your addresses, orders, deliveries, offers and credit history each on their own. You can edit your details there at any time.
For anything you cannot see or change yourself — including a copy of what we hold, or a correction we would have to make — write to us and ask.
Deleting an account is not self-service, and an account with a purchase history cannot simply be erased. What is possible is covered separately.
