Changing the language

Reading Artmire in English, French or Italian — and the second setting people miss.

Artmire is available in English, French and Italian. The globe in the top bar switches between them, and the help center has the same switcher in its own header.

Choosing one reloads the page in that language straight away.

There are two language settings, not one

The switcher in the header changes what you are reading right now. Preferred Language on your account page is what determines the default content language on all pages and what incoming chat messages are translated into — so it is the setting that lasts.

That means a switch made in the header is temporary once you are signed in: next time you sign in, your account preference takes over again. To change the language for good, change it on your account page.

What translation does and does not cover

The interface is fully translated — every menu, button, message and page of this manual. What sellers write is not.

Machine translation is marked as such wherever it is used, and Show original always brings the writer's own words back. On something that matters — a condition report, an agreed price — read the original too, or ask the seller to confirm in plain terms.

If a language switch does not seem to hold

For a signed-in account, that is the account preference reasserting itself — set Preferred Language on your account page and it will stop reverting. Signed out, the choice is remembered per browser, so a different browser, a different device or a private window starts fresh.

Only three languages are offered today. If your language is not among them, the interface stays in the closest one you choose, but seller text can still be translated message by message.
