Your shop details

Your shop name, your story, your images and your contact details.

Shop Details is your shop's identity: its picture, its name, how buyers reach you and what you say about yourself. Almost everything on the page is public, so it is worth going through once properly rather than filling it in twice.

Shop Image

The round picture at the top of your shop page and beside your name on every item you list. Choose File picks one, Remove clears the one you have.

JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB. A file that is too big or the wrong kind is refused straight away, before anything is saved.

Nothing happens to the picture until you press Save Changes — and once you have saved a removal, the old file is gone for good. There is no undo and no confirmation step.

Shop Name

Required, and it does more work than any other field here. It is the heading of your shop page, it sits on every one of your item cards, and it is what your shop's web address is made from.

A shop called Atelier Dubois gets the address `/shop/atelier-dubois`: lower case, accents removed, spaces turned into hyphens. If another shop already uses that address, a number is added to the end of yours.

Renaming the shop renames the link, and the old address stops working immediately — nothing forwards it. Anyone who bookmarked it, or wrote it on a card, lands on "Shop not found". Before you save, an amber line under the field shows you the new address and warns that the current one will stop working.

Once your shop page is published, the name is locked and greyed out for exactly that reason. To change it, ask us to unpublish the shop first, rename it, and then publish it again.

Website

Optional, and shown on your shop page as a link out to wherever you send buyers.

Start it with `https://`. An address typed as `example.com`, with no `https://` in front, is read as a page inside Artmire rather than a site of your own — so the link sends buyers to a page that does not exist. This is not checked for you.

Phone and Mobile

Two fields that behave very differently, and the labels do not say so:

So Phone is the number you are happy for anyone at all to ring, and Mobile is the one you would rather was not printed under every item you sell.

Address

A small editor rather than a plain box, so you can lay it out over a few lines. It is public in three places: your shop page, every item page you list, and what a search engine reads about your shop.

Give as much or as little as you want to be found by. A city and a country is enough for a buyer to know where a parcel is coming from — a full street address will be published and indexed, which is a decision worth making on purpose rather than by habit.

One thing to know before you type it: clearing the box afterwards does not remove the address. Emptying the editor leaves an invisible mark behind, and your shop keeps showing a blank line with a map pin next to it. If you need an address taken off, write to us and we will clear it properly.

Summary

Required, and the most read thing on this page. It becomes the About block on your shop page — who you are, what you make, why it is worth having.

The editor gives you headings, bold, italic, lists, colour and links. A visitor who reads Artmire in another language also gets a Translate this description button on your About block, so writing in your own language costs you nothing.

The Shop Page block

At the bottom, under Shop Page, is your shop's public address as a clickable link and one line telling you where you stand:

Publishing is ours to do, and there is one thing you control that blocks it: a shop cannot be published until all four of its policies are writtenShipping, Returns & Exchanges, Cancellations and Customs & Taxes. While any is missing, this block names the ones outstanding and links straight to the page where you write them.

If your shop is already published and a policy is missing, this page will not save anything until you have written it — not even a change of phone number. Write the policy first, then come back.

Saving

One Save Changes button covers the whole page, picture included. It stays greyed out until something is different, and turns back to Save Changes when the save has gone through.

If something is missing, a red panel appears in the top corner listing what to fix — the field names are the ones on the page, so they are quick to find. It disappears after a few seconds, so read it before it goes.

When a save changes your shop's address, the confirmation message tells you the new one. That is the address to trust, rather than the preview shown before saving, because a number may have been added to keep it unique.
