Leaving a review

Rating a seller once your item has arrived — and why it is worth taking a minute over.

A review is how the next buyer decides whether to trust a seller. Yours is the only kind of evidence they have, because only people who actually bought and paid can leave one.

Where the button is

Not on the item page — on the delivery. Open Deliveries and go to the Completed tab: anything still waiting for a review carries a yellow Leave Review tag beside its picture, with the review button on the same row. You will also get an email inviting you to review once the carrier records the delivery, and a badge appears on your account menu while purchases are waiting for one.

The button only appears once the parcel has actually been delivered. Being asked to rate a delivery that has not arrived is exactly what that rule prevents.

The three scores

You rate the purchase on three separate points, each out of five stars:

The Overall rating is worked out for you as the average of those three. There is no fourth score to give — and separating them is what lets a buyer see that a seller packs beautifully but answers slowly, rather than one blurred number.

Your written review

A few words are required as well as the scores — the form will not submit on stars alone. You have up to 2000 characters, with a counter showing what is left.

The useful ones are specific. "Arrived in four days, wrapped in three layers, exactly the colour in the photographs" tells the next buyer something. "Great seller" does not.

Adding a photograph

You may attach one photograph to your review. It is optional, and the review sends perfectly well without one — but a picture of what actually arrived is worth a paragraph of description to the next buyer. Use Choose a photo below your review: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB.

Nothing is uploaded until you send the review, so you can swap the picture or remove it as often as you like beforehand.

Once sent, the photograph is as permanent as the words — you cannot replace it or take it down. Look at it properly first: a photograph of the parcel very often shows the address label, which is your own name and address published where anyone can read them. Photograph the item, not the packaging.

It is published under your name, permanently

Your review goes live immediately, with your name, your profile picture and any photograph you attached, and cannot be edited or deleted afterwards — not by you, not by the seller, not on request. Write what you would still stand behind in a year.

That is the reason to sort out any problem first. A seller who is given the chance usually fixes things, and how they handled it is a far more useful review than the complaint would have been.

One review per order

Each paid order can be reviewed once. If one order covered several deliveries, reviewing any of them uses that single review, and the button disappears from the rest — so say what you need to say the first time.

What happens after you send it

It counts towards the seller's star rating straight away, and appears on their shop page and at the foot of every item page they list — your photograph with it.

The seller may reply once, in public, under your review. They cannot edit or remove what you wrote, and their reply is as permanent as yours.

Reviews are moderated. One that breaks the review rules, instigates hatred, is discriminatory or is spam can be hidden, and a hidden review stops counting towards the seller's average. Ordinary criticism is not moderated — a fair bad review is meant to stay.
