Your delivery addresses

Adding, editing and choosing the address a parcel is sent to — and why it changes the prices you see.

Delivery Addresses in your account holds every address you can have things sent to. You need at least one to buy anything — checkout will not let you past its first step until an address is chosen — and you can keep as many as you like: home, work, a friend who is in during the day.

Adding one

Add Delivery Address opens a short form:

Why the country matters more than the rest

Sellers set their delivery prices per destination country, so the country on your address decides what you are charged — and it is also what Artmire uses to show you shipping prices while you are still browsing.

The Free Shipping tag and the delivery cost on an item page are worked out for the country on your default address. No default set? It falls back to your most recently updated address, and failing that to the country on your account details. So the addresses you keep quietly change the prices you see across the whole Artmire platform.

The default address

One address can be marked as your default. It is pre-selected at checkout and it is the one the shipping estimates above are based on. The list shows Yes or No in the Default column so you can see at a glance which one is in play.

There is no switch in the list itself — to change which address is the default, open the one you want with Edit Address and tick Set as default address. The previous default gives up the title automatically.

Choosing a different address for one order

The default is a starting point, not a commitment. At checkout you pick from all your saved addresses, and the shipping cost updates to match the one you chose. This is how you send a single item somewhere else without disturbing your usual setup.

Editing and deleting

Edit Address changes an address in place. Delete Address removes it, and asks you to confirm first because it cannot be undone.

Editing an address changes it for the future, not for a parcel already on its way — a seller ships to the address recorded on the order at the time. If a delivery is in transit, leave that address alone until it arrives, and add a new one instead of rewriting the old one.
