A rare and highly elegant hexagonal porcelain vase with its original matching lid, from the Japanese Arita 1900s production. The piece is finely decorated in the traditional style, featuring a vibrant, hand-finished floral pattern with multi-colored chrysanthemums and peonies framed by fine geometric borders on the neck.
A key feature of this authentic vase is the highly visible western export numbering incised directly into the raw paste on the underside (8:S / 66), a technical marking used by Japanese kilns during the late Meiji period to manage international trade orders. The bottom also features a beautiful handwritten underglaze blue poetic inscription and signature, set against a glassy, tactile antique porcelain body.
The vase is preserved in perfect antique condition, complete with its original undamaged lid.
